Freeplane is a free and open source mind mapping app filed under miscellaneous software and made available by Dimitry Polivaev for Windows.

Freeplane is designed to be a program for mind mapping, knowledge management and project management.
Freeplane supports much more than classic static mind mapping. This is illustrated by the mind map Application areas on the right which summarizes the kind of tasks supported by Freeplane. Freeplane is licensed as Freeware for Windows (32-bit and 64-bit) operating system / platform from miscellaneous software without restrictions. Freeplane 1.5.18 is available to all software users as a free download (Freeware).
Compatibility with this mind mapping software may vary, but will generally run fine under Microsoft Windows 10, 8, 8.1, 7, Vista and XP on either a 32-bit or 64-bit setup. A separate x64 version may be available from Dimitry Polivaev.
